A killer bragain roars: Mahindra Genio 1.2T!

Now, is Mahindra releasing a cat among the pigeons or what? This one is as fresh as mama's baking and its called the Mahindra Genio 1.2T Long. The 1.2T of course indicates the weight it can carry on its 4,78 square metre load bin. Being available as a drop side increases its versatility by about 100%. My humble guess is that entrepreneurs, construction and the agriculture environments will snatch up this bakkie like no other. It offers the trusted M-Hawk diesel engine that produces 88kW and a useful 290Nm with a very reasonable 7,9lt/100km.

The suspension is not for sissies either - double wishbones with coils and hydraulic shocks, stabilising bars at the front and a rigid rear axle with leaf springs and telescopic double acting hydraulic shocks in the rear.
She also comes with ABS (EBD included) and inside the cabin the luxury features include, but are not limited to: audio with CD, Aux, USB and memory card, air conditioning, tilt-adjustable power steering and a rear window demister.

So what more do you want? Ah yes, Mahindra thought about that too. A three year /100 000km standard warranty, a five year /150 000 powertrain warranty and wait for it - a three year / 60 000km service plan.
In the looks department, the exterior of the Genio is, from a bakkie perspective, pleasing in a no-nonsense sort of way. The car-like interior satifies the senses and will provide a comfortable office space for the designated driver. What? You want more? How does a price tag of R229 995 sound? I agree, what a great bargain!
