Public Safety & RTI impound cattle
12:35 (GMT+2), Mon , 12 December 2016
Public Safety and RTI worked together recently and impounded six cattle in the Ladysmith area. The cattle were wandering along the R103 just past the Windsor Dam turn-off. It took the officers close to an hour, but they were able to get the roaming livestock onto a truck. The officers said it was better to have the animals safely locked up than to have them causing accidents. The cattle are a danger to passing motorists and the owners will have to pay a fine to get their cattle out of the pound
